The monitoring of the project “Establishment of Centers for Competence and Employability Development (COMPLETE)”, Moscow
The monitoring of the Russian Partners activities in the framework of ERASMUS+ project “Establishment of Centers for Competence and Employability Development (COMPLETE)” took place on 08 September 2017 in the premises of Russian project partner- MIIGAiK.
The monitoring was held by representatives of ERASMUS+ Office in Russia. The results of the project activities were presented during the monitoring process.
The interim monitoring of the project is compulsory procedure during the project cycle and allow to evaluate achieved results and identify challenges that should be minimized for successful project implementation.
TRAINING IN THE FRAME OF THE INTERNATIONAL EDUCATIONAL PROJECT «ESTABLISHMENT OF CENTRES FOR COMPETENCE AND EMPLOYABILITY DEVELOPMENT» (COMPLETE), KAZAKHSTAN
On 22-23 august, 2017 representatives of MIIGAiK took part in the training in the frame of the international educational project «ESTABLISHMENT OF CENTRES FOR COMPETENCE AND EMPLOYABILITY DEVELOPMENT» (COMPLETE) of the ERASMUS + of the European Commission. The event was held in the premises of Karaganda Economic University KAZAPOTREBSOYUZA in Karaganda (Kazakhstan), the coordinator of the project is the University of Applied Sciences of Bielefeld (Germany). The consortium of the project includes universities in Germany, Greece, Slovenia, Russia and Kazakhstan.
The participants of the seminar were personally welcomed by the Rector of the Karaganda University of Economics, KAZPOTREBSOYUZA – E.B. Aimagambetov. He shared with the consortium members his views on how important it is to intensify the work in terms of increasing the capacity of modern graduates to find employment, including self-employment. During the training, the partners from Russia and Kazakhstan exchanged experience in launching centers for developing competencies and employment potential created in the framework of the project on the basis of the Basic Competency Model developed with significant input from the MIIGAiK specialists and the Basic Concept of Competence Development Centers and Employment Potentials, including the Pattern Statement of the Center and the Pattern Business Plan. In particular, representatives from MIIGAiK told colleagues how the "Career" Center is being modernized and expanded in order to give it unifying and directing activities to increase the graduates' employment potential, providing methodological support to teachers, facilitating interaction with employers. The updated page of the Career Center on the new MIIGAiK website will be available in full in the near future and will be of interest and useful for students, graduates, teachers, employers and a wider audience.
During the seminar-training consortium members also presented the results of work done to prepare sample of training programs, in service training programs, etc., which can be implemented by the Centers for different target groups (students, teachers, graduates employers, other groups).
In addition, the participants were given the opportunity to continue studying the experience and approaches in Europe regarding the development of employability presented by Prof. Dr. David Hind, an invited expert from London Metropolitan University (UK). It was about integrating the methods of developing the potential for employment in the curriculum, including the use of such a tool as a staging for the development of universal competencies conducive to employment. The participants tested the effectiveness of this method on their own, and also talked about lessons that can be learned from the experience of integrating such methods of developing the potential for employment into the curriculum in the UK and adapting similar approaches in Russia and Kazakhstan.

TRAINING IN THE FRAME OF THE INTERNATIONAL EDUCATIONAL PROJECT «ESTABLISHMENT OF CENTRES FOR COMPETENCE AND EMPLOYABILITY DEVELOPMENT» (COMPLETE), SLOVENIA
In the period of 21 to 25 March 2017, the representatives of the Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography participated in the training in the frame of international educational project “Establishment of Centres for Competence and Employability Development" (COMPLETE) of the European Commission ERASMUS+. The event was held in the Faculty of Logistics of University of Maribor (Slovenia). Coordinator of the project is the University of Applied Sciences Bielefeld (Germany). The leading universities of Germany, Greece, Slovenia, Russia and Kazakhstan together with MIIGAiK are included in the consortium.
In the frame of the project, MIIGAiK is a leader of coordination work of Russian partners in preparation of Basic Competence Model for Russia that will be applied and implemented by established Centers in Russian universities. Also, MIIGAiK coordinates the work of Russian participants in the development of concepts and business plans of established Centers.
Partners under the guidance of MIIGAiK created the General concept of the Centers, including the Pattern Statement about the Center and the Pattern Business Plan.
On the basis of these documents, all Russian partner universities developed and approved their own regulatory documents that accept the establishment of the Centers and their prospects Note that the concept is based on the idea of expanding the scope of the existing Centers and employment services in universities (for example, the Career Center in MIIGAiK) to give them the functions of unifying and directing activities to increase the graduates' employability potential, providing methodological support to teachers and facilitating interaction with employers.
Another important stage will be the preparation of samples of training programmes and etc. that Centers will implement for various target groups (students, teachers, graduates, employers, and othera) to facilitate the development of competencies and enhance the employability (including self-employment). This work is also carried out by partners under coordination of MIIGAiK.
At the seminar, the members of the consortium presented the results of the work done and discussed issues of further development of the project in Russia and Kazakhstan, as well as dissemination of results, internal quality assurance and project management. In addition, the participants had opportunity to learn more about the experience and approaches in Europe regarding the development of employability presented by invited experts from the University of Heidelberg (Germany), University of Maribor.
TRAINING IN THE FRAME OF THE INTERNATIONAL EDUCATIONAL PROJECT «ESTABLISHMENT OF CENTRES FOR COMPETENCE AND EMPLOYABILITY DEVELOPMENT» (COMPLETE), GREECE
The representatives of the Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography participated in the training of the international educational project "Establishment of Centres for competence development and employability" (COMPLETE) of the European Commission ERASMUS+ that was held on 19 to 22 September 2016. The event was held in the premises of the Technological Institute of Piraeus (Greece). The coordinator of the project is the University of Applied Sciences Bielefeld (Germany). The leading universities of Germany, Greece, Slovenia, Russia and Kazakhstan together with MIIGAiK are included into the consortium.
During the first year of project implementation, the participants from Russia and Kazakhstan analyzed the economic and socio-cultural conditions of partner countries development that influence to the employment of graduates. The results of the analysis were approved by the whole consortium during the meeting in Greece.
Russian and Kazakhstan universities have also prepared materials that reflect the employment situation of graduates in every higher education institution. Participating universities analyzed the opinions of students, graduates and employers of required competencies for future development. The participants presented results in their reports.
The representatives of the consortium working group discussed the model of creating of centers for the development of competencies and employability, which can be modified according to the regional specifics of a single partner institution.
