In the period of 2017 to 2019, MIIGAiK participated in the project of ERASMUS+ "Piloting ECVET to the national VET system of Russia and Uzbekistan (RUECVET)". The named project was successfully ended in November 2019.
The project aimed to pilot the implementation of the European ECVET system of the vocational education and training (VET) in Russia and Uzbekistan. The project included the following tasks:
Inna Ponomareva, Maria Kulkova and Aliya Myrsalieva represented MIIGAiK in the project. Colleagues participated in the development of occupational standards of the selected professions: specialist in land management and cadaster, specialist of applied geodesy, specialist of cartography. These professions selected based on employers survey, which showed that these professions are the most popular in the field of geodesy and cartography. One of the project tasks was matching the related specialties in the partner countries of the project – Uzbekistan. Thus, Memoranda of understanding prepared for universities of Uzbekistan and MIIGAiK on related specialties, which opened opportunities for interested students in mobility.
An active participant in the project was the Moscow College of geodesy and cartography under the Moscow State University of geodesy and cartography. The college management team, represented by the college director Mr. Gennady Hinkis and deputy director Mrs. Oksana Voskresenskaya, as well as teachers of the college obtained training in the development of units, starting with the identification of the students and employers’ needs until the development of a functional map of the above-mentioned professions. In addition, deputy director Mrs. Oksana Voskresenskaya together with other teachers of the college obtained in-service training based on the centers created within the project. In the result of the project, teachers of the college and university obtained a lot of useful and fruitful information. As well as extention of their experience based on the European best practices in the development and introduction of the units into the system of vocational education and training in partner countries.
In general, the project result is the introduction of the lifelong learning concept taking into account the transparency and comparability of VET and higher education qualifications in Russia and Uzbekistan.
The exchange of experience between stakeholders allowed to achieve the main objectives of the conference: dissemination of the achieved results and developments of the SUSDEV and RUECVET projects, capacity building of teaching and administrative staff in green skills and ECVET methodology , application of the European practices and procedures in education system in partner countries.
The participants also discussed the future developments of achieved results by SUSDEV and RUECVET projects in partner countries: Kazakhstan, Russian Federation and Uzbekistan
According to the responses of the course participants, the information and practical tasks were timely and useful, and the presentation of the material was accessible and interesting.
The next event in the framework of the RUECVET project will be held in Moscow in may this year in MIIGAiK. This will be the last conference at which project participants will present to the representatives of the Ministry of education and Ministry of science and higher education, and the General public the vision system distribution system ECVET in vocational education and training of the Russian Federation. From MIIGAiK in this meeting participated: Maria Kulkova, Aliya Myrsalieva and Oksana Voskresenskaya.
The purpose of the event was to familiarize with the methodological developments of the participants, to provide a clear understanding of the RUECVET methodology for further dissemination and implementation. Participants of the partner countries shared their personal experience, conducted their analysis and made adjustments. Also the participants presented their reports with the results of activities on the past work packages.
From MIIGAiK in this meeting participated: Maria Kulkova – Specialist of the Directorate of Educational Programmes and Aliya Myrsalieva – Specialist of the Department of International Educational Programmes.
The next visit of the project is planned in the autumn 2018 in Uzbekistan.
The training seminar was held at the Kokand State Pedagogical Institute in the framework of the second international meeting on the project in Kokand (Republic of Uzbekistan) from 11.09.2017 till 15.09.2017.
According to the programme of the event, not only organizational in-project meetings were held, but also a study of the ECVET methodology and the results of development of study programmes in partner universities. Russian and Uzbek teams presented national reports on the past working packages of the project.
The representatives of the ECVET project participated in the international seminar "The Role of National Qualification Frameworks in Higher and Vocational Education Reforms" on September 13, 2017, this topic was closely related to the ideas of the project.
From MIIGAiK in this meeting participated: Kulkova Maria - Specialist of the Directorate of Educational Programmes and Ponomareva Inna - Head of the Department of International Educational Programmes.
The third international meeting of the project is planned in the spring 2018 in Latvia.
MIIGAiK - participant of the project consortium No. 574097 "Piloting ECVET to the National VET system of Russia and Uzbekistan" (RUECVET).
In the first international meeting from MIIGAIK side participated: Ponomareva Inna, Kulkova Maria and Podgornaya Nadezda. This seminar took place in University of Nicosia (Cyprus) from 27 till 31 March 2017.
The aim of the project is the pilot launching of the European credit recognition system in the national vocational education systems of Russia and Uzbekistan through learning best European experience from partners from Latvia, Cyprus and Malta.
The plan of the event was not only an introduction of partners, but also learning of the best practices of the ECVET systems in Europe.
And also the partners discussed the difficulties that can be encountered in Russia and Uzbekistan in recognition of credits due to differences in educational levels in European and participating countries.
This exchange of experience is a tremendous impetus for the implementation of the project, also the coordination meeting passed within the framework of the meeting.
As a results of meeting, the responsible universities are approved their working packages, discussed about the road map for the next three years and assign the following international meetings.
The next visit on the project is planned in September 2017 in Kokand (Uzbekistan).
