In the seminar from MIIGAiK side participated the project managers: Aliya Myrsalieva and Ekaterina Sushkova (Department of International educational Programmes). In the first days of the event, participants were invited to attend lectures on the sustainable development of the territories. Then the project participants took part in seminars and trainings in groups according to their chosen direction (Land management, Ecology, Food direction). The work was completely devoted to the implementation of the project. As noted earlier, MIIGAiK works in the direction of "Land Management". In the course of fruitful cooperation, a plan for writing modules was developed, as well as goals and tasks were distributed among the group members.
The participants of the meeting also had the opportunity to get acquainted with the Polytechnic University and visit various laboratories. The next visit on the project is planned in October 2018 at Tula State University (Russia).
The international methodological seminar was held in the frame of the current project ERASMUS + № 574056 in Almaty (Kazakhstan), at the end of October 2017.

The programme included different activities of the project in 3 working days. First of all, on October 23, the general plenary meeting was held with presentation of participants, passed working packages and the extent of their implementation, also the work plan was discussed for the next three days. The consortium was divided into three working groups: "Land Management", "Ecology" and "Food", and the representatives of higher education institutions worked in the relevant selected groups for the next two days. After the presentation of country’s analyzes of the current situation in three directions in Kazakhstan and Russia, the Chairmen of the working groups were attached to each team - the world's leading experts on these topics in the field of education from Austria, Poland and Portugal. With their help, the participants started to implement the next step in the implementation of the project, namely, the development of training modules, taking into account country specificities and problems in these areas. In this project MIIGAiK is responsible for the "Land Management", and our representatives actively discussed the current requirements of students and employers within the framework of team work.
Based on the results of the "brainstorming" at the general project meeting on October 25, the groups presented their developments and examples of modules. Also, future project plans were discussed, the targets were distributed, and representatives of the Yagelon University presented the project website: http://www.miigaik.ru/eng/international/cooperation/projects/susdev/.
In addition to the project work, the participants found out more about the structure and priorities of the Kazakh National Agrarian University and saw a good example of the development of international activity. Almost of all project partners from Russia, Kazakhstan, Poland, Austria, Portugal and Ireland attended in the meeting.
The next visit on the project is planned in June 2018 at the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra (Portugal).
The methodological seminar of the project "Lifelong Learning for Sustainable Development" was held in April, 2017. The organizers of this event: representatives of the Dublin University of Technology, participating countries: universities from Poland, Kazakhstan and Russia. As speakers, in the event participated the experts of international standing in the field of sustainable development from Ireland were invited: Jezus Frias, Brian O'Neilly, Noel O'Conor, Andy Maguayer and others.
The aim of the seminar is learning best EU experience from partners in modernizing, adapting and implementing curricula on ecology, land management and food safety for a lifelong learning model. In addition, the project participants held a coordination meeting to allocate targets for the first working package and to discuss mechanisms for the implementation.
It was agreed to collect country reports by region and target groups, which include food, land and environmental profiles according to the approved template.
The next meeting of the project should take place in Astana, in October 2017.
The opening ceremony of the project "Lifelong Learning for Sustainable Development" was held in the Reading Room of MIIGAiK, in which representatives from Poland, Austria, Portugal, Kazakhstan and Russia participated in the conference on January 19-20, 2017.
The purpose of this meeting is acquaintance with the partner institutions, to plan the implementation of work packages and future activities, to establish a project monitoring committee, to study the experience in the implementation of qualification frameworks in the curricula based on the learning outcomes in programme countries.
It should be noted that this topic – “lifelong Learning” appeared in the educational strategy about thirty years ago thanks to the Council of Europe and UNESCO. There is a real need to obtain and update their competencies not only at an early stage, but at any time of life.
More information about the phenomenon of Lifelong Learning appears under the pressure of accelerating globalization, therefore the SUSDEV project is relevant and gives chances to those who want to learn continuously and consistently. The protocol was drawn up and approved by all SUSDEV partners at the end of the project meeting.
The next meeting will be held April 23-25, 2017 at the Dublin University of Technology (Ireland).
